Welcome to BISAK
A selective, not for profit school with a Board of Governors and close links with the British Embassy.
The motto on the school crest is ‘Let there be Peace on Earth’ and the diverse nature of the school community means that the true spirit of internationalism flourishes here. Since first opening in 1977 BISAK has grown into a large, internationally renowned, non-profit making school with 715 students from around fifty nations. These children and young people, from three to eighteen years of age, benefit from the dedication and hard work of our teachers, governors and support staff who work together to create a caring, personalised learning environment.
The School has received accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and BSME and is one of a few schools in the Middle East yet to achieve this. The accreditations are a well deserved recognition of the hard work and dedication of the of the BISAK community. The teaching staff at BISAK are our greatest resource and we are fortunate that we have such highly qualified and experienced individuals. The quality of teaching and learning within the school is first class and the students benefit from a holistic education that helps prepare them for lives in a rapidly changing, globalised society. One of our objectives is to ensure that students develop the skills to become lifelong learners and we work hard to ensure that students not only achieve excellent academic results but also enjoy their learning and acquire the social and emotional skills they will need throughout their adult lives.
The Secondary section of the school is rapidly expanding and the recent addition of GCSE and A level examinations mean that we can provide a continuous learning experience from 3 to 18 and enable students to go on to study at universities throughout the world.
In addition to the academic side of school life there are numerous opportunities for extra -curricular activities including sport, music, drama and the International Award. There are also many overseas and local trips organised throughout the year.
We hope that you enjoy exploring our website which gives a flavour of the school. If you are a prospective parent and require further information please see the admissions section of the website where you can download our prospectus, registration pack and other information.
